The Shreveport Bar Association’s Krewe of Justinian is proud to be the only legal Mardi Gras krewe in the region. Our membership is composed of attorneys throughout Northwest Louisiana, along with their families, friends, and colleagues.

Founded to support the Shreveport Bar Foundation, the Krewe helps provide legal assistance to low-income individuals and those facing crises in our community. At the same time, it serves as a vibrant social network that fosters camaraderie, strengthens professional relationships, and encourages collaboration among its members. Together with our clients and community partners, we work to unite our community while celebrating Louisiana’s rich tradition of resilience, service, and revelry.

Our Krewe offers a variety of opportunities for individuals and businesses to support our professional, philanthropic, and social missions. These opportunities include sponsorships for our Coronation Ball and Grand Bal, as well as sponsorships of our Mardi Gras float entries in both the Krewe of Centaur and Krewe of Highland parades.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and donors over the years, the Krewe of Justinian has contributed more than $300,000 to the Shreveport Bar Foundation. These funds have supported numerous community programs and initiatives, including Wills for Veterans, Ask-A-Lawyer clinics, protective orders for victims of domestic violence, the LSU Health Shreveport Children’s Center, Volunteers for Youth Justice, Habitat for Humanity, the Book Fair benefiting Shriners Children’s Hospital, Caddo and Bossier Early Head Start programs, Providence House, the Lighthouse Program, and the Gingerbread House and Cara Center, which provide forensic interviews, medical examinations, and counseling services for abused children.

Your generous sponsorship or donation will help us continue supporting the Shreveport Bar Foundation and these vital community programs while serving those in need throughout Northwest Louisiana. Your support also enables our active participation in the Northwest Louisiana Mardi Gras community, a cherished cultural tradition that has experienced remarkable growth in recent years and brings people together from across the Ark-La-Tex region.
